These events will usually have a Scandinavian connection and are generally available for both non-members and members to attend. Sun. Aug. 29, 2012: Scandinavian Society Picnic

The Scandinavian Society is inviting everyone to our annual Summer Picnic at Lake Mush-a-Mush, Lunenburg County. The picnic will take place rain or shine as we can move inside even if the weather does not co-operate.

Hot dogs, salads, corn on the cob, as well as juice, tea and coffee will be served all for the price of $5 per adult. No charge for the children. We encourage members to bring some desserts for the coffee and tea, a favorite salad or anything else that will add to the picnic. Please bring a folding chair or a blanket to sit on and perhaps an umbrella for shade.

Scandinavian Spring and Fall Movie Series

Third Sunday of each month, at 2 p.m.
Doors open at 1:30 p.m.

A week or so before the movie, the Society sends out an email to members to remind them about the movie and includes a movie synopsis. We meet at Saege Restaurant at NOON for brunch before the movie.
