Yet another Scandinavian Society get-together for members only!

End of season BBQ

Details:

The Scandinavian Society is hosting an end of season BBQ for our members.  As always, if you have friends or relatives who would like to attend, please have them complete the membership form on our website and pay the appropriate dues by PayPal so that they, too, may join our festivities.

This is a rain or shine event.

There will be access to a lake, canoe, and a couple of kayaks.

We will supply adult life jackets for your outdoor adventure!    Children’s life jackets are NOT available, so please bring your own, if required.  If the weather is fine, we will have outdoor games; if not, we will socialize and improvise.

Date:  September 9 from 1 until 5 p.m.

Food:  We will provide hotdogs, sausages and hamburgers plus buns and the usual toppings, coffee, tea.

Cost  $5 per individual or $10 per family to cover the costs (and yes, children are welcome!)

Location: Tucker Lake Road, Beaver Bank, B4G 1C3  (We will provide detailed driving directions when you RSVP to: scansons@gmail.com.)

RSVP is necessary to ensure that we have enough food for everyone.  When you respond,  please state your preference for:

1. All beef hot dog

2. European sausage

3. All beef hamburger

We encourage everyone to bring their favourite  sides.  We WILL supply a few surprises for dessert!

This event is nut-free, peanut-free and shellfish-free

PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANYTHING THAT CONTAINS NUTS, PEANUTS OR SHELLFISH.  We have children with life-threatening reactions to these items who may be attending.

Detailed driving directions will be provided when you confirm attendance.

For those who don’t drive, Tucker Lake Road is accessible by bus from both Halifax and Dartmouth.  These two computer apps can show you the route and bus numbers from your home to Tucker Lake Road, Beaver Bank.  Just type in the addresses.
